OnSSI, Code Blue Release Comprehensive Situational Security Solution
PEARL RIVER, N.Y. — On-Net Surveillance Systems (OnSSI) has partnered with emergency communications product provider Code Blue to provide clients with a single interface that offers faster responses and improved situational security.
Through the partnership, OnSSI has integrated its Ocularis video management software (VMS) with Code Blue’s Help Point emergency communication devices to enable users to manage video surveillance images, access control data, fire alerts and emergency communication seamlessly.
When an individual presses the emergency speakerphone button on a Help Point, the call is routed to Blue Alert EMS, Code Blue’s advanced event management software. That immediately triggers a notification to Ocularis, which security personnel then can use to best determine how to respond.
The companies decided to team up after clients voiced that they wanted to have more control over their security systems, as well as have faster responses to create safer environments. After meeting a several industry events, the companies determined that the integration would be beneficial for customers, Janice Maurer, OnSSI’s marketing manager tells SSI.
“Short training time, improved response time and ease of installation are all benefits of the integrated solution,” she says.
The interface has currently been installed in several education and health-care facilities, as well as malls and municipalities, Maurer says.
