SSI Rolls Out Red Carpet for SAMMYs, Hall of Fame
TORRANCE, Calif. — SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION invites all electronic security professionals to take part in the 16th Annual SAMMY (Sales and Marketing) Awards. The eighth annual SSI Hall of Fame induction will also take place during the April 5 ceremony in Las Vegas.
Held each year on the eve of ISC West, the free program attracts industry professionals from across North America. Attendees can mingle with peers while witnessing some of the industry’s top sales, marketing and installation practices.
In all, 13 SAMMY awards will be granted during the evening, including the coveted “Installer of the Year,” “Integrated Installation of the Year” and “Best Overall Integrated Marketing Campaign” honors. You can view a complete list of finalists here.
As a co-main event, the SSI Hall of Fame will salute five men whose careers have made a profound impact on the industry and in their communities. They are: Steve Doyle, executive vice president and CEO, Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA); Jay Hauhn, CTO and vice president, Industry Relations, ADT North America; Bill Polk, managing director, CapitalSource Security Group; Ivan Scharer, former president, First Alert Professional; and Bud Wulforst, former CSAA president and ex-CEO of A-1 Security.

The affair will be held 4:30-6 p.m. in the Casanova Conference Room 602 at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino and include complimentary hors d’ oeuvres and beverages.

Among the many educational sessions, SSI Editor-in-Chief Scott Goldfine will moderate “Video Analytics and Content Analysis: Use Cases Explored, RFPs Developed.” During the session, an expert panel will demonstrate effectively deploying video analytic technology.
