AMG Announces 150 Series of PoE Power Injectors

AMG emphasizes that its 150 Series of PoE Injectors are true IEEE802.3bt solutions that are TAA and NDAA compliant.

BIGGLESWADE, U.K.—AMG Systems of the United Kingdom and U.S., has introduced the AMG 150 series of PoE power injectors for PoE applications requiring up to 90 Watts of operating power.

The British company explains the need for higher wattage PoE continues to drive innovation throughout the industry. The latest standard IEEE802.3bt has allowed for simple connectivity via CAT5e/CAT6 cable to provide both data communication along with up to 90-watts of energy to power a multitude of devices including outdoor PTZ cameras with heater/blower capabilities, large multi-sensor cameras, PoE Lighting, wireless access points and even access control products.

With multiple products now appearing in the marketplace, the demand for products that can supply that power has grown significantly. In response to that need, AMG brings the AMG150 series to market with the capability to power up to eight devices.

“When we decided to enter the U.S. market, we thoroughly evaluated what was missing from current product lines available in the U.S. With the proliferation of PoE devices, what was missing was PoE PSEs that can provide power to those devices,” notes Steve Clarke, managing director, AMG.

“Asian-sourced products are available, but we found many potential US customers would rather use higher-quality US and UK-produced products. The AMG150 Series satisfies the need for such a device.”

150 Series of PoE Injectors Built to the Highest Standards

AMG points out the 150 Series of PoE Injectors is designed in the U.S. and manufactured in an ISO9001-certified U.K. facility.

The new line of products from AMG is fully TAA and NDAA compliant, and unlike similar products from other Asian countries, the company boasts, it can be used in all U.S. government installations. The AMG150 features a small form factor and can be Din Rail or Wall mounted. The line is fully hardened and can operate in outdoors and extreme temperatures that range from 104 degrees to 167 degree Fahrenheit.

AMG also points out the AMG150 Series is a true IEEE802.3bt device and the products can offer 15-, 30-, 60-, and 90-watt power-to-edge PoE devices with “mains” internal power and redundant power supply options.

“The AMG150 sets the quality standard. Our engineering team looked at what was currently available, identified weaknesses, and engineered our product line to overcome those weaknesses,” adds Tom Exley, technical director, AMG.

“We believe in the quality and stand behind them with lifetime support. This Injector opens dozens of applications that can now utilize PoE as the power source. Plus having an injector made in the UK gives your network an added layer of security.”
