PoE Two-Door Controller Latest AC Series Product from Aiphone

The newly announced two-door controller from Aiphone can control as many as two doors within 500 feet of its location, and it can store as many as 100,000 user credentials locally, and up to 50,000 events.

REDMOND, Wash.—Aiphone, an international manufacturer of intercom, access control, and emergency communication products, has announced its new PoE two-door controller.

The company states the latest addition to its recently launched AC Series access control portfolio is simple to install above interior doorways. Once installed, the PoE two-door controller (AC-2DM-B) controls and unlocks the door it is mounted near, including another door within 500 feet. It can store up to 100,000 user credentials locally and up to 50,000 events.

“The great thing about our new PoE two-door controller is that it can operate on its own or as part of a larger AC Series access control system,” says Brad Kamcheff, marketing manager, Aiphone Corp.

“This system can also grow as a customer’s needs evolve, giving them ultimate flexibility with their access control system. Installation is incredibly easy too, as the AC-2DM units can use the same PoE run as the intercom and strike power.”

PoE Two-Door Controller Meets Industry Safety Standards

Aiphone explains that its new security solution enhances security through an integrated infrared motion sensor that can be used to allow immediate egress. The AC-2DM-B also provides an on-board LCD status screen that is designed to clearly display to users if access is granted (green) or denied (red).

The two-door controller includes two Wiegand inputs, two outputs that are available with integrated power, and two solid-state dry contact relay outputs. Aiphone also points out the AC-2DM-B is available with another four additional inputs to provide dealers with more installation flexibility. According to the company, these options enable the two-door controller to support various door control capabilities, such as exit buttons and door openers.

The AC-2DM-B is both NDAA and TAA compliant, along with UL 294 and ULC 5319-05 compliant. The new door controller is available in black, and the company also offers a version in white: the AC-2DM-W.
