FAST Announces Call for Nominations for 2024 Security Technician of the Year Awards
FAST awards celebrate security technicians who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our safety and security.

DALLAS – The Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) has opened nominations for the 2024 Security Technician of the Year Awards.
This initiative “celebrates the unsung heroes of our communities — security technicians who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our safety and security,” according to the FAST announcement.
In the announcement FAST invites industry professionals to nominate “outstanding technicians who exemplify excellence, customer service, and leadership.”
The awards are open to members of the Security Industry Association (SIA) and the Electronic Security Association (ESA), with nominees required to have at least one year of professional experience in the security industry.

Nominations for the 2024 awards can be submitted until Wednesday, April 17, with a submission deadline of Friday, April 26.
This recognition “goes beyond individual accolades,” according to the FAST announcement. It also “supports FAST’s mission to attract, develop, and retain talent within the security industry,” the announcement says.
The winners will be honored at a ceremony during ESX in Louisville, Ky., on Thursday, June 6.
FAST “encourages participation in this opportunity to highlight the critical work of security technicians and inspire future generations to pursue careers in the security industry,” according to the foundation announcement.
