Allied Universal Marks 10th Year Being Ranked on the Inc. 5000
A leading provider of security guards as well as technology-driven security solutions, Allied Universal will be featured in SSI’s September publication.
SANTA ANA, Calif. — Allied Universal — the focus of a major feature article in SSI’s September issue — is placed among companies listed in the latest Inc. 5000, an annual ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.
The no. 1,617 position in 2019 marks Allied Universal’s 10th year on Inc. magazine’s list, which is said to represent a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment — its independent businesses.
Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow and many other well-known brands gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000, according to an announcement.
“We are honored to be named to the Inc. 5000,” says Steve Jones, CEO of Allied Universal. “We’ve sustained growth by listening to our clients and employees thus leveraging our team’s experience and passion to continually improve our operations, our reach and our technology.”
Not only have the companies on the 2019 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but the list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists, the announcement states. The companies ranked in the 2019 installment combined for a three-year average growth of 454%, and a median rate of 157%, according to the magazine.
The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $237.7 billion in 2018, accounting for 1,216,308 jobs over the past three years.
Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region and other criteria, can be found here.
“The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have followed so many different paths to success,” says Inc. Editor-in-Chief James Ledbetter. “There’s no single course you can follow or investment you can take that will guarantee this kind of spectacular growth. But what they have in common is persistence and seizing opportunities.”
Allied Universal is a leading provider of security guards as well as technology-driven security solutions. Its more than 200,000 personnel and monitoring centers are responsible for protecting in excess of 42,000 North American client sites.
SSI’s September issue will feature an in-depth discussion with top executives from Allied corporate and recently acquired Securadyne to discuss company strategies, M&A, market outlooks and security integration opportunities.
