Mission 500 and COPS Monitoring to Hold 2021 Back to School Fundraiser

Every $25 in donations will fund additional school supplies for children in need at Crosspointe Elementary School in Boynton Beach, Fla.

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — Students at Crosspointe Elementary School, located here,  will once again receive essential school supplies from COPS Monitoring and Mission 500.

For the sixth consecutive year, COPS Monitoring is kicking off this effort with a commitment to provide school supplies for 300 students, and invites all security industry professionals to join this effort by donating to the 2021 Back to School Fundraiser.

Every $25 in donations will fund additional school supplies for children in need at Crosspointe Elementary School.

“We are so very proud and honored to take part once again in giving back to our community,” says COPS Monitoring President Jim McMullen. “We encourage industry professionals to participate in this most worthy cause so that these children in need have the supplies they need when classroom instruction resume.”

Along with the supplies essential for a successful school year, each backpack will go home with a note to parents and guardians reminding them of the stable employment opportunities at COPS’ Boca Raton, Fla., monitoring station, which is seven miles from Crosspointe Elementary.

“Once again, our peers at COPS Monitoring are stepping up to the plate to support children in need, which puts a star on our entire industry,” says Ken Gould, chairman, Mission 500. “Mission 500 is most pleased and thankful to be working with COPS Monitoring and so many other companies and individuals throughout the industry to help improve the lives and futures of children and their families across the U.S.”

Crosspointe Elementary is a Title 1 school with 93% of its students receiving free or reduced lunch, explains Courtney Roper, parent liaison of Crosspointe Elementary.

“Our families struggle to provide their children with the necessary materials needed to be successful in school,” she continues. “Our facility, parents, and students are grateful for this partnership with Mission 500 and their sponsors, and we hope it will continue in the future.”

Donations, which are being accepted until July 31, can be made here.
