Dow Electronics Acquires Distributor Audio Video Warehouse
The deal sets up the company for future growth with new vendors, territory and customers, says Dow Electronics President and CEO John Yodzis.
TAMPA, Fla. — Dow Electronics, a leading independently owned consumer electronics (CE) distributor, has finalized an agreement with Audio Video Warehouse to acquire certain assets of the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based wholesale distributor.
Dow Electronics has assumed operations in both of Audio Video Warehouse’s former locations. The acquisition brings new customers and new vendors, as well as increases territory agreements with current Dow vendors to cover Arizona, New Mexico, the Metro Las Vegas area and more, according to an announcement.

Dow Electronics operates six locations serving Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Virginia and Washington, D.C
The parties closed the transaction on Dec. 11, according to the announcement.
