Guardian Protection Acquires Rampart Security Systems

The acquisition of Western Pennsylvania-based Rampart Security adds a mix of commercial and residential customers to Guardian’s account base.

PITTSBURGH — Guardian Protection announces the acquisition of Rampart Security Systems in Greensburg, Pa., for undisclosed terms.

Rampart Security has operated for 35 years, professionally installing monitored commercial and residential security systems. The acquisition includes 3,600 accounts and will increase Guardian’s customer base in its Western Pennsylvania footprint.

Guardian Protection President Bryan Cipoletti comments, “Like Guardian, Rampart Security Systems is family-owned and deeply committed to the communities it serves and protects. This acquisition represents an opportunity for us to grow in a smart and profitable way and aligns with the strategic goals on which we’ve been executing the past few years. We will continue to look for additional acquisition opportunities as we leverage our vision to grow Guardian.”

As part of the acquisition, Rampart Security customers will transition from the company’s third-party monitoring center to Guardian’s U.L.-certified TMA Five Diamond-accredited monitoring facilities.

Guardian plans to operate Rampart’s existing location as a Guardian satellite location and Rampart’s employees are expected to join the Guardian Protection team. Jason Bradley, Guardian’s vice-president of care and monitoring operations, will lead the operation and is also spearheading the transition.

Guardian Protection, which operates one of the longest-running dealer programs in the industry, is a leading provider of smart security and automation solutions for residential, commercial, institutional and multisite customers.
