Panasonic Partner Summit Focuses on New Company Roadmap
Along with new portfolio offerings, attendees learned about several new channel and partner opportunities and programs with the company.
TUSCON, Ariz. — Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions Corp. of America recently hosted its reseller and integration partners for three days of education and networking. During the Partner Summit, held here, the company presented a roadmap for its new products, technologies and solutions.
The event presented an opportunity for the Panasonic Security and Public Safety channel personnel and technology providers to learn and interact in a relaxed setting, according to a press release.
“This summit was a great occasion to get our communities together and introduce the new company, our mission and our objectives,” states Bill Brennan, vice president of the security division. “Panasonic is a highly respected and well-known brand in the security industry, and our intentions when it comes to our new identity are reflected by the theme of the summit: Moving Forward, Together.”
After an introduction by Brennan, new CEO Masato Nakao began the meeting by presenting the new company, now known as PIPSA, and their vision for the future. The company is formed of three main business divisions: Intelligent Surveillance, Public Safety Solutions, and Medical and Industrial.
Attendees then learned about the numerous new channel and partner opportunities and programs, followed by a deep dive into the full Panasonic Solution including hardware, software and services.
Among the most important technologies presented at the Summit, the press release states, was Panasonic’s FacePro, a facial recognition system with deep learning technology. The capabilities of the technology were demonstrated in detail, including the ability to compensate for aging, faces partially hidden by sunglasses or masks, deep angles and more.
Attendees also learned about the i-PRO Extreme product lineup, among other upcoming new products to be launched in 2020. A number of breakout sessions provided a chance to learn in detail about a variety of Panasonic’s current and upcoming offerings.
“We were thrilled by the reception and reaction of our partner community to the new landscape presented by our evolution,” Brennan comments. “As I told the crowd in my introduction, the new beginning starts now.”
In October, i-PRO Sensing Solutions became independent from Panasonic to establish the Image Sensing Business.
