IC Realtime Selects Jorge Perez to Lead Global Business Development

Perez joins IC Realtime to serve as president of a new artificial intelligence (AI) business unit and build out the company’s software offerings.

POMPANO Beach, Fla. — IC Realtime, a provider of digital surveillance and security technology, has appointed Jorge Perez as president of global business development and the new head of the Ella Intelligent Video Search business unit.

Perez will be responsible for the oversight of new features and app roll outs under Ella, a deep-learning video search engine that is said to augment surveillance systems with natural language search capabilities across recorded video footage.

Additionally, Perez will oversee operations and staffing within the intelligent video search division. The Ella solution is hardware agnostic and works with both existing DIY and professionally installed systems to outfit installations with video search capabilities, according to an announcement.

“Jorge is a passionate, focused, and results-driven sales leader with years of experience in software as a service applications as well as commercial and residential security systems, CCTV and integration,” says IC Realtime CEO Matt Sailor. “His reputation within the industry speaks for itself and we’re very excited he’s joined the IC Realtime team as the head of our Ella department at a time when the industry is ripe for innovation.”

Prior to joining IC Realtime, Perez jump started his career within the industry as a co-founder of an ADT authorized dealer in South Florida, which grew into one of the top 10 dealers in the nation, according to the announcement.

Perez has also worked for Edison Security where his responsibilities included oversight of all aspects of sales, marketing, operations and administration of offices across multiple offices throughout southern Florida. As National Sales Director for Salesgenine.com Perez led national enterprise sales within the home security division which included management of corporate locations and dealer programs.

With more than two decades served within the security and surveillance industry, Perez joins IC Realtime with experience in developing business relationships within new regions and markets, including recruitment and the development and management of sales and operations.
