Former Honeywell Security Executive Ron Rothman Joins SightLogix Board
Rothman, an SSI Industry Hall of Fame inductee, brings more than 30 years of security leadership to the SightLogix board of directors.
PRINCETON, N.J. — Ron Rothman, a prominent industry veteran with a longstanding record of building and transforming security businesses, has joined the board of directors for thermal camera-maker SightLogix.
“Ron is a visionary leader with unparalleled success in the security industry,” says John Romanowich, SightLogix president and CEO. “His deep knowledge and long history of accomplishments make him an ideal advisor, and I am thrilled to welcome Ron to our team.”
Rothman’s decorated resume includes being inducted into the SSI Industry Hall of Fame in 2012, as well being honored with the William N. Moody Award for his dedication to alarm management issues by the Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC).
Rothman replaced Ben Cornett as president of Honeywell Security Group in 2010 after serving in the same role with Honeywell Security & Communications since 2002. He left Honeywell in 2015 and was replaced by David Paja. Rothman began his career with ADEMCO in the 1980s.
Most recently, Rothman served as senior vice president of sales and business development for AFA Protective Systems, a leading systems integrator in the design, installation and service of fire, access, intrusion and video security systems.
During his extensive career, he has had a progression of sales, marketing and management roles with ADEMCO, First Alert Professional, AlarmNet, Northern, FBII and Genesis Wire in addition to many international brands.
“SightLogix has a reputation for offering one of the most reliable and innovative solutions for outdoor security,” states Rothman. “I look forward to working with the Board and SightLogix management to help them align strategy, technology, and operations to accelerate our growth.”
Rothman currently chairs the marketing committee for The Monitoring Association (TMA, formerly CSAA).
