UTC Fire & Security Makes Changes to Executive Team

FARMINGTON, Conn. — UTC Fire & Security announces changes to its senior leadership team.

Mark Barry will now serve as president of the Global Fire Products (GFP) division. Barry, who joined the company in 2010 through the acquisition of GE Security, succeeds Scott Buckhout, who was named president of UTC Fire & Security in March. In his new role, Barry will be responsible for 27 factories and operations in North and South America, Western Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Barry has more than 20 years in the security and life-safety industry, including senior leadership positions at Tyco, ADT and GE Security.

Kelly Romano will take over Barry’s position as president of the Global Security Products (GSP) division.

Romano most recently served as the company’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. She brings more than 27 years of UTC broad-based experience to her new role, including expertise in general management, business development, customer relations and marketing.
