Edwards ConnectedSafety+ System Modernizes Fire Detection
At the upcoming NFPA Conference & Expo, Edwards will introduce its new ConnectedSafety+ System in booth #501.
BRADENTON, Fla.—Edwards, a global manufacturer of fire alarm, mass notification, and hazard warning systems, has announced the launch of Edwards ConnectedSafety+, a new SaaS life-cycle solution that optimizes the management of commercial fire installations.
According to the company, this next-generation system includes predictive maintenance insights, real-time event notifications, intelligent reporting, and a multi-site dashboard that enables managers to view all locations at once remotely or on-site. Edwards points out that it is a part of Carrier Global Corporation, a global manufacturer of intelligent climate and energy solutions.
“Having these analytics accessible in one location allows Edwards ConnectedSafety+ to provide a series of unique-to-market features, which deliver actionable insights to help you stay code compliant, minimize site disruptions with fewer service calls, and improve the overall productivity of maintenance efforts, thus improving overall customer outcomes,” says Kartik Kumar, VP & GM commercial fire, and managing director, Edwards.
ConnectedSafety+ Offers Lower Cost of Maintenance
Edwards boasts that its new ConnectedSafety+ system provides remote predictive maintenance insights which allow partners to proactively take preventative action to help ensure optimized system functionality. The company explains these benefits are designed to result in lower system service and maintenance costs and help minimize system disruptions for end users.
Edwards says that before the introduction of this technology, troubleshooting system issues typically required manual, onsite maintenance visits to resolve and were supported by paper-based workflows. Now, with Edwards ConnectedSafety+, technicians can utilize the technology and system data remotely to help diagnose system needs. This diagnostics-led approach gives the opportunity to help predict, prepare for, and address system needs resulting in more efficient service calls. Edwards ConnectedSafety+ allows technicians to ‘know before they go’ to troubleshoot on-site.
Debuting during the upcoming NFPA Conference & Expo, Edwards new ConnectedSafety+ offers commercial buildings enhanced fire safety service that leverages the company’s Edwards EST4 fire system products to help improve outcomes for dealers, partners, and end-customers.
The company adds that it will be exhibiting at NFPA booth #501 with in-booth connectivity presentations on June 19, 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. PST, and June 20, 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. PST. Additionally, Edwards ConnectedSafety+ will host an NFPA Exhibitor Exclusive Presentation, on June 21 from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. PST.
Edwards ConnectedSafety+ will be available beginning July 2023.
