i-PRO Debuts Pocket-Sized Mini AI Network Camera
i-PRO says the mini network camera is capable of processing large amounts of data quickly, including the ability to simultaneously run three AI analytic applications.
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. — i-PRO (formerly known as Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions Corp. of America) announces its new mini network camera with AI.
The company says its new, pocket-sized camera incorporates a full complement of AI analytics capabilities, and the product provides businesses, including retail, a small-format security camera that protects while provides organizational insight.
“The i-PRO mini is disrupting the traditional compact camera segment by combining sleek, unobtrusive design with powerful AI analytics. Business owners can easily leverage their surveillance footage to unlock valuable marketing analysis to gain shopper insights,” says Adam Lowenstein, director of product management at i-PRO Americas Inc. “i-PRO mini is truly leading the next generation of security surveillance in retail by offering a powerful and comprehensive AI-based smart camera in the smallest package in our industry.”
According to the company, the new mini network camera is part of its S-series of products. The company says that through the camera’s compact design, it is capable of blending into a range environments and because of its AI processing, it is capable of processing large amounts of data quickly, including the ability to simultaneously run three AI analytic applications.
i-PRO emphasizes that its latest camera’s AI-based detection technologies reduce false alarms and these technologies help the camera to deliver important marketing and operational intelligence. Some of the free analytics the mini network camera offers include people and vehicle detection with the ability to identify color, upper and lower clothing, face detection, and non-mask detection.
The new camera also supports occupancy monitoring and counting, and it also includes a privacy guard feature that pixelates individual faces or entire the body to maintain GDPR compliance.
The company also points out the small-footprint mini network camera measures just 4-inches wide by 1.89-inches high and 0.82 inches deep. i-PRO notes the camera supports third-party application plugins to enable specialized activities such as the monitoring inventory on product shelves.
Additionally, the camera is designed to setup quickly via a smart device and optional WiFi USB adapter to view live images during the installation process. Moreover, the camera will remember the angle in which is was first installed, and if it was tampered with a red LED will illuminate and it can generate emails to notify users that its position has changed.
