Report: Visitor Management Systems Becoming an Increasingly Important Solution
Statistics from the visitor management report shows companies putting less of an emphasis on brand experience and perception, while prioritizing compliance, security and data collection.
SEATTLE — Traction Guest, a visitor management technology company, has released a report that looks at trends in visitor management systems (VMS).
The company surveyed professionals from various industries around the world with backgrounds in facilities, security and IT to uncover insights and opportunities in this space for 2020.
A visitor management system allows organizations to streamline the visitor management process through pre-registration, ID verification, visitor identification with badges, and customizable notifications for hosts and security.
“No longer is there a need to convince companies that a Cloud-based VMS is an efficient check-in tool for visitors. Or that they need thorough and organized digital visitor processes. Or that a VMS provides welcoming and seamless guest experiences,” explains Traction Guest CEO Keith Metcalfe. “Many already recognize this. In 2019, 86% of our survey respondents saw visitor management as “very important.”
Metcalfe adds that statistics from this year’s Visitor Management Report shows companies putting less of an emphasis on brand experience and perception, while prioritizing compliance, security and data collection.
Here are some additional key findings from the report:
- Visitor management systems are viewed as essential operations tool for 2020, 92% of respondents say a VMS creates a safer environment.
- Respondents rate the importance of having a visitor management system as 8.6 out of 10.
- 92% of 2019 respondents say a VMS creates a safer environment, up 10% from 2017.
- 76% of 2019 respondents report that adding a VMS has improved visitor feedback, up 4% from 2018 and up 23% from 2017.
- 94% 2019 respondents say having a VMS increases operational efficiency, up from 92% in 2018.
