MONTREAL — With its latest acquisition of software company Sipelia, IP security solutions provider Genetec will expand its custom solutions development team, according to the company.

Based in Paris, Sipelia specializes in the development of custom software solutions. Sipelia co-founders José and Rémi Bréval will remain with Genetec, responsible for offering professional services to channel partners.

José Bréval will lead the development and management of the worldwide custom solutions team for Genetec, while Rémi Bréval will lead the development efforts on Plan Manager, an interactive map-based command and control application built by Sipelia for use with Genetec’s Omnicast solution. Additionally, Rémi Bréval will lead the new Paris team.

Currently, the Plan Manager application is offered to Genetec customers as an add-on module within Omnicast. Full integration within Genetec’s unified security platform, the Security Center, is planned to coincide with the release of Security Center 5.0.
