Lift Your Security Team With SSI’s Most Valuable Products of 2020

To a large extent, the success of security dealers and integrators rides on the devices they sell. That’s why it’s critical to have stars in that lineup. Meet SSI’s 2020 Most Valuable Products.

Lift Your Security Team With SSI’s Most Valuable Products of 2020

While it’s true the best security solution is one that is tailored to the end user’s particular needs and designed according to the given environment and set of circumstances — products are the engines that drive successful applications and deployments.

And as with motor vehicles, dealers and integrators behind the proverbial wheel need enough horsepower to rise to the occasion and cross the finish line. Like an injection of nitrous oxide into your tank of offerings, Security Sales & Integration’s Most Valuable Products (MVPs) are ready to speed your business to success.

Now in its sixth year, SSI’s MVPs program has once again honored many of the industry’s foremost manufacturers and suppliers for bringing the installing and monitoring marketplace useful new hardware and software to make the most of existing and emerging opportunities.

The awards are typically revealed and handed out during a ceremony as part of the SAMMYs event on the eve of ISC West in Las Vegas.

However, when ISC was postponed due to COVID-19, rather than keep entrants in suspense for several additional months, SSI announced the finalists and winners in March and shipped out their trophies.

This year’s 40 submissions were judged by a panel of seasoned security dealers, integrators and industry consultants on innovation, functionality, competitive advantages, benefits to the installer or monitoring provider, and benefits to the end user.

This year awards went to 10 winners in 10 categories: Access Control, Business Operations, Central Station/Monitoring, Fire/Life Safety, Home Controls, Installation Aids, Intrusion Detection, Miscellaneous Security Products, Security Apps and Video Surveillance.

Particularly in the absence of any security trade show expositions during the first half of this year, the MVP program affords dealers and integrators an alternative means to discover and vet potential portfolio additions.

To be considered, products had to have been released in the past 18 months or set to be available during 2020.

The 2020 winners as well as all the runners-up warrant serious consideration as judging was once again extremely tight. View this year’s MVPs in the slideshow, or navigate by category below. (Note: write-ups are edited versions of submitted descriptions.)
