EnGenuis Announces ECW215 WiFi 6 Wall-Plate Access Point

COSTA MESA, Calif.—EnGenius Technologies introduces its new ECW215 WiFi 6 dual-band wall-plate access point (AP).
The new AP features a low-profile industrial design and WiFi 6 technologies to support reliable network connections for everything from laptops and smart phones, to tablets and IoT (Internet of Things) devices, according to the company.
“We know how hard it can be for installers to work with multi-tenant projects. Our goal is to make that job much easier,” says Bryan Slayman, product line manager at EnGenius Technologies.
“That’s why we’re excited to be launching a WiFi 6 wall-mount AP that greatly improves installation and configuration time as well as provides efficient connectivity in apartments, hotel rooms and college dorms. We want to help you provide the best end-user experience possible.”
EnGenius explains the dual-band 2×2:2 ECW215 WiFi 6 dual-band wall-plate AP also incorporates a built-in two-port gigabit switch that can be used to support products such as VoIP phones and more.
Some of the other wall-plate AP’s features include a license-free Cloud interface that allows integrators to “bulk” register and configure access points centrally, and the ability to provide advanced client authentication for higher security applications, while minimizing truck rolls.
The ECW215 WiFi 6 dual-band wall-plate AP also provides the company’s smartcasting feature for fast setup and streaming on L2 guest networks, and EnGenius adds upcoming options include the ability to extend captive portal, splash pages, and configurable security for the extra LAN ports to unify the wireless and wired network on boarding process.
