ID Management Specialist BadgePass Buys Alabama Card Systems

Birmingham, Ala.-based Alabama Card Systems is a provider of identification card systems, electronic access control and surveillance equipment.

RIDGELAND, Miss. — BadgePass and Alabama Card Systems announce the strategic merger of the two companies, effective immediately. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

For BadgePass, based here, the acquisition of Alabama Card Systems represents the seventh merger or acquisition in the past five years. The merger will further the company’s strategy to provide credential management solutions across North America, according to the announcement.

BadgePass credential management applications include ID badging, access control, visitor tracking, time management, campus card systems, driver’s license scanning and more.

“Alabama Card Systems has long been a trusted strategic partner of ours,” states Phillip King, CEO of BadgePass. “Adding them to the BadgePass team and implementing plans to build on their success is very exciting for us. This was a perfect fit for our company culture and sales strategy and we are looking forward to growing our business in the region.”
