Select Security Expands Ohio Presence With Acquisition of YPS Integrated Systems
The transaction includes over 1,700 accounts from YPS along with other assets. The company will continue to operate as a branch of Select Security.
LANCASTER, Pa. — Select Security, a provider of security and life-safety solutions for homes and businesses, announces it has acquired the assets of Warren, Ohio-based YPS Integrated Systems.
The transaction includes over 1,700 accounts from YPS along with other assets. Les Zatko and Kevin Tanko, owners of YPS, will remain with the company along with the entire staff. The company will continue to operate as a branch of Select Security.
“The YPS team is a great fit for building and expanding our operation in the Cleveland and Youngstown, Ohio areas. We are thrilled to have them as part of the Select family,” says Patrick Egan, Select Security’s founder & CEO and 2014 SSI Industry Hall of Fame inductee.
The acquisition is the seventh of the year for Select Security, which has so far acquired:
- Garden State Fire & Security, Matawan, N.J.
- Tennessee Valley Protection, Huntsville, Ala.
- Southern Security Services, Nashville, Tenn.
- Interactive Alarms, Nashville, Tenn.
- Security Consultants, Memphis, Tenn.
- Alert Alarm Systems, Paducah, Ky.
Select Security was founded in 2003 and operates multiple local offices serving accounts in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, Minnesota, West Virginia, Texas, New Mexico, New Jersey, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Davis Mergers and Acquisitions Group was the broker for the deal, representing YPS and assisting both companies in achieving the transaction.
