Winsted Partners With Concept Seating to Provide Chairs Designed for 24/7 Environments

The companies say they will work together to equip control rooms with long-lasting and ergonomic consoles, workstations and chairs for 24/7 environments.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Winsted, a global manufacturer of configurable control room consoles and furniture, has entered into a partnership with the seating company Concept Seating.

Through the newly formed alliance the companies will work together to equip control rooms with long-lasting and ergonomic consoles, workstations and chairs for 24/7 environments, according to an announcement.

“Concept Seating is thrilled and excited to be partnering with Winsted,” says Joel Vento, vice president of sales and marketing, Concept Seating. “Our long lasting, high performing seating provides superior comfort and critical ergonomic support to professionals in demanding environments.”

Both companies point out that functional control rooms are designed and built with their users in mind. These design elements the companies emphasize, include intelligent ergonomics that can act as extensions of users’ bodies and minds to ensure users’ productivity.

“Winsted engineers control rooms where design, function, detail, and comfort work together harmoniously to create the best in situational awareness,” comments Tracy Crocker, CEO, Winsted. “Alongside Concept Seating, Winsted is working to provide a complete solution for control room operators that works to minimize fatigue and maximize performance.”

The newly formed partners add that their combined resources and capabilities will enable control rooms to upgrade older, existing facilities, or they can help to design and implement fresh, new control room solutions.
