Top 5 Surveillance Videos of the Week: Actor Rick Moranis Assaulted in NYC
Other top surveillance videos of the week include a brazen food truck theft, a big rig falling off the highway and more.

The coronavirus has had a serious impact on our daily lives. Not even the top surveillance videos of the week are immune to COVID-19.
Due to much of the country (and world) still wary of being out and about in public, there is unsurprisingly a lack of new interesting surveillance videos. In order to make sure we can keep bringing you this weekly feature to help lighten the mood in these trying times, we will temporarily be reducing the number of videos from 9 to 5.
Now, on to this week’s top surveillance videos…
It seems like 2020 hasn’t left a single person unscathed, even Rick Moranis. Remember him? One of Canada’s greatest exports, Moranis starred in a slew of classic movies such as Ghostbusters, Spaceballs and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, just to name a few.
He essentially dropped off the face of the Earth in the late 90s but recently appeared in a commercial alongside fellow Canadian Ryan Reynolds.
Sadly, not long after its release, the actor would end up in the public eye again, in a much less enjoyable video.
Surveillance video from New York City show Moranis walking down the street when suddenly, unprovoked, a man punches him in the head. Moranis would end up in the hospital for back, head and hip pain, but ultimately end up fine. Is it Dec. 31 yet?
Also this week…
A food truck is an easy way to operate a “restaurant” without having a giant overhead. Unfortunately, they can also be relatively easy to steal.
Surveillance video from a parking lot shows the brazen moment a pickup truck backs up to a food truck, hooks it up and drives away.
