SIA Announces 2023 George R. Lippert Memorial and Progress Award Winners

Honorees Dan Moceri and Martha Entwistle will be celebrated during SIA Honors Night Nov. 15 at ISC East in New York City.

The Security Industry Association (SIA) has named Convergint co-founder and executive chairman Don Moceri as the 2023 recipient of the George R. Lippert Memorial Award and Martha Entwistle, senior manager of Eagle Eye Networks, as the 2023 SIA Progress Award winner.

Moceri and Entwistle will be recognized with their awards on Wednesday, Nov. 15, during the 2023 SIA Honors Night reception during ISC East in New York City.

The George R. Lippert Memorial Award is presented annually “to a distinguished individual for long-term, selfless service to the security industry and to SIA,” according to the association announcement.

Moceri, a longtime SIA member and former SIA Board of Directors and Executive Committee member, started Convergint, a global systems integrator with a workforce of nearly 10,000 colleagues spread across more than 200 offices worldwide.

He is also a partner in Moceri + Roszak, a Chicago-based real estate developer.

Moceri is no longer on the SIA board, but he “supports and encourages others at his company to participate in a variety of SIA activities and initiatives, including the Security Industry Compensation Study, the SIA Women in Security Forum, the Securing New Ground conference and SIA’s training programs,” the announcement says.

He has also been “highly engaged in industry workforce development efforts,” according to the SIA announcement.
