American Defense Systems Rebrands to ONIT Smart Home

The company says it is rebranding to ONIT Smart Home to better reflect the offerings frequently requested by its customers.

DALLAS — American Defense Systems (ADS), a provider of smart security, automation and surveillance, announces it will be rebranding as ONIT Smart Home.

The new names brings it in line with the ONIT Home Service branding of its sister companies: ONIT Concierge, ONIT Energy USA, ONIT Roofing & Construction, ONIT Insurance and ONIT Water.

“After making some lucrative strategic partnerships in the homeowner space, we noticed an ongoing trend. ADS has always specialized in security and automation, but our customers were asking us about additional services for their new home. They were asking for services like cable, satellite, internet, solar energy, insurance, water purification and even who we would recommend for roofing and construction,” the company explains in its announcement.

It continues, “In 2019, we began adding these verticals to our company — not making partnerships but launching new companies. We began bringing in leaders in each industry that would provide years of experience in their field and bring the best value to our customers. These companies (owned by American Defense Systems) have already launched independently, and have been growing under our new brand — the ONIT brand.”

ADS was established in 2009 by Curtis Kindred and started off serving homes and families throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. It soon became one of the top Authorized Dealers of Brinks Home Security (formerly Monitronics).

ONIT Smart Home will continue to encompass all of ADS’ offerings, including the utilization of Qolsys, and systems monitored by Brinks Home Security.
