ADT Partners With BH Management to Bring Smart Home Gear to Multifamily Units

BOCA RATON, Fla. — ADT (NYSE: ADT) is partnering with BH Management Services, a leading property management company, to offer smart home products and convenience services to residents of multifamily dwellings.
Through the partnership, BH Management Services will offer residents security, smart door locks and smart thermostats offered by ADT.
Based in Des Moines, Iowa, BH Management Services is the eighth largest multifamily management company and the 11th largest multifamily property owner in the nation, according to the National Multifamily Housing Council. With regional offices in Atlanta, Dallas and Houston, the company operates more than 94,000 units across 19 states, mainly in the Midwest and Southeast regions.
“As leaders in property management, we know that our ability to bring innovation to the multifamily living experience and offer tenants access to the latest in smart technology and convenience from their fingertips is important,” states BH Management President Joanna Zabriskie in an announcement.
“The partnership with ADT also provides extensive efficiency on the management side to better manage and respond to maintenance requests quickly and regulate non-inhabited units to ensure they are well-kept and efficient,” Zabriskie continues.
ADT’s smart home technology is coupled with enterprise scale property automation software provided by Point Central. The security provider’s monitoring services will be included as a portion of monthly rent charges, according to the announcement.
ADT home automation systems are also compatible with voice assistants, allowing tenants the opportunity to integrate additional smart home appliances into their rental units.
