SSI’s Stellar Service Awards Celebrate Suppliers Who Offer a Surplus of Service

As they say, it’s during the difficult and challenging times when you really learn who are your true friends. That has played out the past two years as a multitude of factors have snarled the supply chain in a manner professional security dealers and systems integrators have, fortunately, never before encountered.

Having to wait sometimes months to be able to obtain a product, or more often multiple products, necessary to complete a system installation project has wreaked massive havoc throughout the channel — costing dealers and integrators time, money, sanity and sometimes business.

The good news is this unprecedented situation is showing signs of improvement, but it is a long way from resolving itself and its effects will likely forever change how providers order, stock and plan. Most vendors were caught just as much off-guard by this disturbing predicament.

That left those that maintained stock and consistent deliveries, proved themselves to be especially agile or at least emphasized clear, ongoing communication and transparency throughout the ordeal clearly shining above the rest — and gaining market share from competitors.

Inside the SSI Stellar Service Awards

This landscape makes Security Sales & Integration’s SSI Supplier Stellar Service Awards even more meaningful. Recognizing the security industry’s top performing products manufacturers, wholesale distributors and third-party central monitoring stations, this program salutes those companies that set themselves apart from the thousands of providers to deliver the highest levels of service and support to the installing dealer and integrator community.

With voting tabulated from SSI’s readership, the Stellar Service Awards honor suppliers for outstanding efforts across a range of 29 total support/service areas, with 18 winners named. As in the Olympics, for each category achievements were recognized by gold, silver and bronze designations.

The top vote-getters were Alula among manufacturers with 10 total “medals,” ADI and SS&Si Dealer Network tied atop the distributors list with seven, and COPS captured the most among central stations with six.

Quibble with any of the selections? Then be sure to cast your votes the next time around. SSI applauds the roster of 2023 Stellar Service companies, whose quotes and images show and tell what sets them apart from the pack as trustworthy supplier partners.
