LOUD Security Systems Goes Bold to Win 2023 SAMMY Award for Best Display Ad

LOUD Security Systems took a fun and unique approach to its advertising and earned a 2023 SAMMY Award.

We won’t say we saved our best for last when it comes to highlighting the winners of the 2023 SSI Sales & Marketing Awards (SAMMYs for short), but there’s no argument that our Best Display Advertisement honoree (print or electronic) was by far the loudest of the bunch.

It’s understandable for LOUD Security Systems to shout from the mountaintops about how “our president rocks” — especially since President John Loud has built such a strong business, which includes a super-creative marketing staff.

To really catch potential customers’ eyes, the team literally Photoshopped Loud into an image of Mount Rushmore in one of its SAMMY Award-winning display advertisements.

The SAMMY Awards, which are presented annually at the ISC West trade show and are now in their 28th year, recognizes installing security integrators, dealers and monitoring providers for their marketing, installation and overall business excellence.

“If you know LOUD Security President John Loud, you know a man that virtually embodies the best of effective marketing. He sets himself apart from the crowd and grabs attention,” states Marketing Director John Bennett in its SAMMY Award entry.

“He knows that engaging people authentically is critical when building relationships, and that humor is one of the most effective components in building strong relationships,” he says. “With all that said, LOUD wants our marketing to reflect John’s larger-than-life personality, and we want our efforts to reflect these key attributes.”

Bold Digital Ads Reflect Personality, Win SAMMY Award

The Kennesaw, Ga.-based company prides itself on creating digital ads that are visually engaging, clever and effective, Bennett notes. Such images are used in a mobile app for a local newspaper (Marietta Daily Journal), and are seen each day as readers — and perhaps future LOUD subscribers — open the news app.

As digital resources, the security firm also places the SAMMY Award-winning ads throughout its social media channels garnering further engagement and attention.

The loud images, pardon the pun, are indeed aimed at drawing attention and pay homage to Loud’s gregarious personality. The one featuring Mount Rushmore was a President’s Day campaign, placing Loud in Thomas Jefferson’s stead, above LOUD Security’s bold, mainly yellow logo and a bright red banner asking, “Are you ready?” The call to action is just above the company phone number at the bottom right.

Another SAMMY Award-winning ad riffs on the popular Kevin Costner series “Yellowstone,” with Loud in cowboy garb holding the company’s “Yellowsign” against the backdrop of mountain scenery and ranch. “The Sign of Real Protection” is the sell line.
